Educational Qualification: B.Com, CA Inter

Ability to become well versed in the Firm’s Independence policies and other related firm policies

Excellent verbal and written business communication skills, prior exposure to international business correspondence a plus

Ability to apply Firm policies to various fact patterns

Ability to follow work programs with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to analyze problems and facilitate solutions

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion

Excellent organizational aptitude and interpersonal skills

Ability to quickly learn technical tools including Microsoft Office applications and other database tools

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Should be flexible on work timings and may be required to work outside of normal business hours during peak periods

Ability to interact professionally with senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Work Timings: 2 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Perform specific portions of personal independence audits of the DTTL Canada Partners, Directors and Managers by applying a detailed audit process and reviewing submitted audit materials for compliance with DTTL Canada Independence policies

Identify financial interests in submitted audit materials. Research financial interest entities with Firm tools (Deloitte Entity Search & Compliance (DESC) System, CRM and CMS) and the Internet. Document the results of procedures and potential Independence policy exceptions.

Work closely with the other independence team members (R10 and Canada), develop best practices, and collectively develop a base of knowledge used to consistently address independence scenarios that arise.

Manage multiple auditees simultaneously, track progress and report to local management their progress and any issues that arise. Effectively communicate with local and Canada. peers, reviewers and management.

Develop a strong working knowledge of DTTL Canada Independence policies to render a conclusion on potential exceptions identified during the audit
